Most PE-backed companies cannot answer a simple question: how mature is your PMO? They know it exists, they know it could be better, but they have no structured way to assess where the gaps are or how to prioritize improvements. This scorecard provides that assessment — 83 weighted formulas across five dimensions: Governance and Structure, Portfolio and Pipeline, Delivery Performance, Risk and Issue Management, and Reporting and Visibility. I built it from the PMO assessment patterns I applied across PE-backed industrial companies, where the PMO was typically either nonexistent, inherited from a pre-acquisition structure that no longer fit, or built by a consulting firm that left no documentation. Use it post-close to assess the inherited PMO, pre-board to demonstrate improvement trajectory, or during pre-exit grooming to show operational maturity. Eight tabs, no macros.
